Explore with the Wensum Discovery Tour

This unique tour journeys into the deep past and breathes life into the landscape around Pensthorpe.  The adventure begins when you meet your local guide in the Wensum Room, where they will give you a little history of Pensthorpe, introduce you to the remains of an animal which roamed this land 10,000 years ago and challenge you to name Britain's largest predator.

After this introduction, your guide will then take you out into the rarely seen parts of the Wensum Valley in a specially-designed Landrover Safari vehicle.  The tour takes you through wildflower meadows grazed by Longhorn cattle and Norfolk Horn sheep, both rare breeds, and on again through calm woodland glades and quiet lakes, all teeming with wildlife.
