Broadcaster, author and self-proclaimed ‘Urban Birder’, David Lindo is hosting a special event on Friday 19th October, here at Pensthorpe, to inspire nature-lovers to see the merits of bird-spotting in urban areas.

The evening, titled “How to be an Urban Birder” will share David’s advice for finding and appreciating nature in built-up areas, tips on using binoculars and how, despite being raised in London, he developed a passion for birding from the age of three.

David has appeared on TV programmes including Countryfile, Springwatch and The One Show, and has been invited to talk about wildlife and conservation on stations such as BBC Radio 4, BBC Radio 2 and BBC Radio London.

He has written countless articles for publications such as Countryfile Magazine, The Guardian and The Observer, and has published four books including his most recent work ‘How to be an Urban Birder’.

David was also recently named as the seventh most influential person in wildlife by BBC Wildlife Magazine.
