Bug Walk

Let your children become 'bug detectives' on our Bug Walk; this trail will fascinate children of all ages who love bugs, creepy-crawlies and insects. Hidden in the heart of the reserve it boasts larger-than-life bugs in the form of sculptures, from spiders to crickets and ants. There are many interactive activities which are supported by our Bug Walk quiz in the 'Wild On Wildlife' booklet, which you will receive on your arrival. Spot giant earwigs and insects, check plant life for ladybirds, or identifying creatures running around on the ground, you will be surrounded by wildlife which is just waiting to be discovered. Open all year round, you will see different creatures every season, so have fun and get detecting!

Pensthorpe is a great place for school groups to visit; the reserve is a wonderful, giant outdoor classroom.
