You and your family can get closer to nature with lots of fun and interactive activities to see and do at Pensthorpe.
Try pond dipping: discover which creatures live in ponds and then identify them in our specially designed pool.
Feed the birds: Some foods may be harmful to birds, so visit our shop for special food available for land and water birds.
Binoculars are available to hire, so you can get an even closer view of the wildlife.
Our new 'Wild On Wildlife' booklets are packed full of ideas and activities for children, to develop their love of the great outdoors; you even get the chance to win a FREE family day out too.
Activities include the Bug Walk and the Wildlife Tracker Trail, which lead children around the reserve, collecting stamps and finding facts for their booklet. Once all the stamps are collected you get a free gift!
Have fun spotting the many varieties of birds at Pensthorpe, and tick them off in your booklet. There are plenty of ideas to take away and do at home as well.
We actively encourage school groups to visit Pensthorpe and to use the reserve as a giant outdoor classroom.
