Norfolk's wildlife haven and host of BBC Springwatch, Pensthorpe Nature Reserve & Gardens, near Fakenham, is holding a series of guided Butterfly Walks between 3rd and 31st July. Starting from 12.30pm, the walks will offer visitors a unique opportunity to explore the natural habitats within the reserve accompanied by one of Pensthorpe's wildlife experts.
For an inspiring insight, your guide will be resident expert Thomas Spencer. He will be showing visitors around the various habitats at Pensthorpe, including the stunning gardens and wildflower meadow, which attract 21 different species of butterfly!
Learn more about these fascinating insects as Thomas helps you to identify the different species of butterfly. He will answer any questions and will offer tips on how to attract butterflies into rural and urban gardens, large or small.
Pensthorpe owner, Deb Jordan, said: 'Summer is a wonderful time for nature and wildlife at Pensthorpe. We're lucky to welcome a variety of species from the majestic yellow Brimstone to the common Painted Lady. Thomas has a great deal of knowledge about these insects and visitors will have the chance to observe these beautiful butterflies in closer detail: it's sure to be a fascinating walk'.
Butterfly Walks will be held on 3rd, 17th, 21st and 31st July at 12.30pm.
