A key focus of Pensthorpe Conservation Trust’s (PCT) work is species conservation which is closely linked to habitat restoration and conservation. By supporting one of Pensthorpe’s Actively Saving Species projects you are helping the PCT to carry on its valuable work in conservation, habitat restoration and research.
Our Actively Saving Species currently available for adoption are:
Turtle Doves need help urgently as they are fast disappearing from the countryside, support our work with these beautiful birds as part of the Operation Turtle Dove project.
Red Squirrels are almost extinct on the English mainland; to ensure the survival of these native squirrels you can support our work with the East Anglian Red Squirrel Group.
Eurasian Cranes highlight the importance of wetlands around the world, you can support our long-term work with these majestic birds including the Great Crane Project which aims to bring them once more to our skies.
Corncrakes are a red-listed farmland bird which has been hit particularly hard by changes in modern farming practises, the work that PCT has achieved with the Corncrake Release Programme is of vital importance. You can help us achieve more.
