A day with our experts – Bird ID for beginners 

Learn to identify birds that visit your garden and those you might see on a walk out in the countryside on this Bird ID for beginners event. This event will start in the Wildlife Education Centre highlighting the key features to be aware of when trying to identify birds, as well as discussing the ways to listen to and learn about bird’s call and song. Lastly, you will discover how birds live and the habitats they can be found in; getting to grips with guide books and the equipment you need to kick start your bird watching. Then we will go onto the reserve to spot some of the species it hosts. Lunch is included.

This event is aimed for novices and appeals to bird lovers of all ages.

  • Admission into this event is £19.95 children (3-16yrs)/members, £24.95 adults/non members, includes lunch
  • There is no online discount for this event
  • Limited spaces are available
  • Annual members receive early bird priority booking for this event
  • The event will run from 10am – 4pm, please arrive 15 mins prior to the start time
  • Parking is FREE
