This is our third year of running the successful Photographic Portfolio Development at Pensthorpe courses. You can choose from the four levels listed above. All courses run for 6 sessions – during autumn, spring and summer and involve a combination of sessions photographing in the park or other locations and sessions reviewing, editing and enhancing your photos. Tea and coffee is available on the ‘in’ days; where you will have the opportunity to either join in (bring your own device) or watch demonstrations on how to use Adobe Photoshop & Photoshop Elements to edit and enhance your photos.

‘Get started’, Wednesdays 2-4.30pm – this course will get you out and about in Pensthorpe, exploring camera settings and techniques and gaining confidence in the use of your photographic equipment and editing techniques.

‘Next Steps’, Wednesdays 10-12.30pm – this course continues to build your confidence with the camera and editing techniques through termly ‘themes’. The autumn term involves an exploration of landscape, monochrome, macro and wildlife photography as well as editing workshops.

‘Further Steps’, Wednesdays 10-12.30pm – this course is structured to enable attendees to produce a panel of images, which explore various areas of photography, to the standard of the Royal Photographic Society Distinctions.

‘Personal Projects’, Wednesdays, 2-4.30pm – this advanced course is aimed at photographers who want a challenge and want to develop a personal body of work which expresses their personal goals for their photographic    practice. The aim is to produce a body of related images.
