Farming For Wildlife
25 May 2022 - 30 Nov 2022
Wednesdays 25th May and 30th November, 1pm-4pm
At least 70% of land in the UK is farmed for crops or livestock, meaning farming is by far the biggest driver of landscape health and the fortunes of our wildlife. Join us on this behind-the-scenes walk around the ‘other’ part of Pensthorpe, not often open to the public, to discover how we make our farming friendly for wildlife. You’ll learn about our grasslands, crops, pond restoration and hedgerow management and have the opportunity to ask any questions afterwards with some tea and cake in our cafe.
- Please ensure you are wearing sensible footwear for this behind-the-scenes walk.
- A hot drink and slice of cake are included in the walk
